IWC Portofino ref.3513 from the 1990s, 34mm case, white dial and caliber 37521 movement.

The Portofino line has long been an understated gem within the IWC collection—quietly elegant, effortlessly timeless, and often overlooked by the wider market. This particular example, this neo vintage IWC Portofino ref. 3513 from the 1990s, is a wonderful illustration of that refined elegance.

Inspired by the clean and classic designs of the 1960s, the Portofino combines vintage proportions with purposeful aesthetics. The 34mm stainless steel case features straight lugs, an IWC-signed “fish” crown, a screw-down caseback, and a flat sapphire crystal—hallmarks of IWC’s thoughtful and refined approach to watchmaking during this period.

The watch features a beautiful white porcelain dial with very fine, almost invisible craquelé that adds subtle vintage character. It is fitted with silver-colored hands and applied hour markers that complement the minimalist design perfectly. The case remains unpolished and shows visible signs of honest wear, preserving its original character.

Inside beats the automatic caliber 37521 movement with quick-set date. The movement has been fully inspected by our watchmaker and runs and functions very well.

The watch is paired with a new 18mm black leather strap and comes with a 6-month warranty, our warranty certificate, and a leather watch pouch.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us—we are happy to help.

We thoroughly inspect every watch before offering it through our store and, when necessary, ensure that it is fully serviced. However, sometimes defects arise and therefore we offer a 6-month warranty on each watch purchased. This warranty covers solely mechanical defects (related to the movement) and excludes issues arising from normal wear and tear, accidents, or improper use.

Excluded from the warranty are, among other, the waterproofness of the watch, as well as breaking/loss of the glass, winding stem, winding crown, spring, buttons and pushers and such, and the strap/bracelet. Also excluded is damage caused by falling/bumping of the watch or through the presence of dirt or moisture in the watch.
