The IWC Pilot’s Doppelchronograph Ref. IW3713 is one of the most iconic and technically impressive pilot’s watches ever produced by IWC Schaffhausen. Powered by the legendary IWC Calibre 79230, based on the robust Valjoux 7750 and enhanced with the ingenious Richard Habring-designed split-seconds (rattrapante) chronograph, this reference represents a milestone in modern chronograph engineering. Produced from the late 1990s until 2005, the IW3713 remains highly sought after by collectors for its combination of everyday reliability and true haute horlogerie complication.

Offered here is an outstanding full-set example from 2003, complete with the original IWC inner presentation box, outer box, warranty papers, manuals, and the original stainless steel IWC pyramide bracelet. The bracelet is currently sized to fit wrists of up to approximately 18.5 cm.

The watch is presented in excellent overall condition. The stainless steel case retains its sharp lines, the dial and hands are beautifully preserved, and the sapphire crystal is free from noticeable imperfections. The original bracelet shows only light signs of careful wear and complements the watch perfectly.

With its 42 mm stainless steel case,  screw-down caseback with the protecting sticker still on it. Anti-magnetic soft iron inner cage, day-date display, and sophisticated split-seconds chronograph, the IW3713 offers a perfect balance of rugged pilot’s watch aesthetics and mechanical complexity. Few chronographs deliver the same level of technical fascination while remaining practical enough for daily wear.

Sold with a 6-month warranty.  An increasingly collectible modern classic, this complete 2003 full-set example is an exceptional opportunity for enthusiasts and collectors alike.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

We thoroughly inspect every watch before offering it through our store and, when necessary, ensure that it is fully serviced. However, sometimes defects arise and therefore we offer a 6-month warranty on each watch purchased. This warranty covers solely mechanical defects (related to the movement) and excludes issues arising from normal wear and tear, accidents, or improper use.

Excluded from the warranty are, among other, the waterproofness of the watch, as well as breaking/loss of the glass, winding stem, winding crown, spring, buttons and pushers and such, and the strap/bracelet. Also excluded is damage caused by falling/bumping of the watch or through the presence of dirt or moisture in the watch.
