Omega Seamaster 2846 King Saud with Rose gold-capped case and Khanjar box from 1954

 2.900,00

A rare and historically Omega Seamaster ref. 2846 from 1954, featuring the highly sought-after King Saud dial.

King Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the second King of Saudi Arabia, succeeded his father in 1953. During this period, Middle Eastern royalty often gifted specially commissioned watches to important relations and officials as symbols of friendship and appreciation. These unique royal presentation watches are highly valued by collectors today.

Unlike most commemorative dials, where a portrait or emblem is placed above the 6 o’clock position, King Saud requested his portrait to appear below the 12 o’clock position, above the Omega logo and original dial text. This distinctive layout makes these watches among the most recognisable Omega royal presentation pieces.

This exceptional Seamaster features a 34 mm 18k rose gold-capped case, which remains in good overall condition but with visible signs of wear. The watch retains its original signed Omega acrylic crystal and showcases the rare original King Saud dial with beautiful visible patina.

The dial features elegant Arabic quarter numerals, applied arrow hour markers, and classic alpha hands. Inside beats the reliable Omega caliber 501 automatic movement, which has been fully inspected by our watchmaker and runs and functions excellently.

The watch comes on a black leather strap with its original Omega signed gold-plated buckle and is accompanied by the rare original Omega signed Khanjar presentation box, adding further historical significance and collector appeal.

It is supplied with a 6-month mechanical warranty and our warranty certificate.

A rare opportunity to own an historically important Omega Seamaster connected to Saudi Arabian royalty and ready to be worn by the true Omega Connoiseur.

If you have any questions or would like additional photographs, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We thoroughly inspect every watch before offering it through our store and, when necessary, ensure that it is fully serviced. However, sometimes defects arise and therefore we offer a 6-month warranty on each watch purchased. This warranty covers solely mechanical defects (related to the movement) and excludes issues arising from normal wear and tear, accidents, or improper use.

Excluded from the warranty are, among other, the waterproofness of the watch, as well as breaking/loss of the glass, winding stem, winding crown, spring, buttons and pushers and such, and the strap/bracelet. Also excluded is damage caused by falling/bumping of the watch or through the presence of dirt or moisture in the watch.
